Goal Accomplished!

I finally wore them down! When the HR woman from the library offered me the job, I thought I was hearing things. After almost two years and about eight interviews in different departments, I will be an employee of Watson Library in their Interlibrary Loan department starting March 28th! Yay! This also means the end of my unemployment! Again, Yay! And since I will once again be a University employee, this also means I will eventually be able to get financial assistance to return to school, and perhaps actually get my MLS. Finally! I get to work at something I have actually pursued instead of just settled for. Next goal: Don't fuck it up.

And just because I'm in the mood to set new goals for myself, here are a few others for the year:
1) Join radcliffe in her weekly design challenge, stimulate stagnating creative impulses.
2) Have a garage sale, stop storing things I haven't thought about in 3 moves.
3) Take some of my finished clothing designs to the vintage shop downtown that sells on consigment and see how they do.
4) Finish one of my two novels and get it published.

I'll leave off there for now. I have a new job! I'm such an American, sigh. It's amazing how much the knowledge of permanent employment does for my mood.
