Cool Stuff

I have my copy of China Mieville's new Kraken waiting at home. gmskarka got it for me yesterday, but I didn't dare bring it to work today. Because, well, mostly I should work at work. *sigh*


Also cool, but not related: We went to see Henry Rollins on his Frequent Flier Tour last night. Three hours of Henry Rollins talking at you non-stop (no really, not even for a sip of water) in his highly exuberant fashion is not something that should be missed. I totally have life-envy after hearing him talk about all the countries he has visited!

I'm just not sure about this...

Makeover for Wonder Woman at 69 - NY times.



I'm not a big fan of the design (the top half is better than the bottom, though - shiny pants? Spurs? *headdesk*), and I'm definitely not a fan of all the ideas behind it, as expressed by Straczynski and Lee in the article. I would really have preferred slightly less sexist and slightly less clueless commentary about her re-design; especially coming from two artists whose work I usually enjoy.
