Feb. 15th, 2007 04:31 pmCelebrated "Happy Corporately-Mandated Artificial Expression of Love Day" by attending the monthly preparation meeting for the teenager's trip to Germany and handing over another payment. Whee. Fun. Oh, and because we are geeks-in-love,
gmskarka used yesterday as an excuse to give me this. Not that he needed one, but it really wasn't his fault. He ordered it when they announced it months ago - it only got released on Tuesday. (The packaging, BTW, is covered with gooey text about how it was one of the most romantic television shows EVAR.)
In other news:
I need to replace the blade in my utility knife. Dull utility knife blades do not make it easy to slice clean straight lines through matboard - somewhat rather the opposite of easy, actually. I discovered this last Sunday in the midst of our "Lets hang art on the walls so it looks like we live here" marathon. It's only taken three years! We framed and put up
gmskarka's Buckaroo Banzai poster and his new nifty Steranko print of the Green Hornet in action. We also found homes for our Spangler wedding dragonlings, my print of Ruth Thompson's Beauty, the broom from our wedding, and the other broom from our wedding (a gift from
cedarsong and
everflame). That one is now on a hook by the front door, so we can use it to sweep snow off the front porch. As a result of all this effort, our living room now looks 1) Cozier, 2) Geekier, and 3) Like WE live there.
I also set up a new/old set of metal utility shelves (gleaned from a friends recent move) in the garage, so now we have a place to put things like dog food and gardening supplies that isn't, well, the floor of the garage. :) Hooray for the findability of things!
