What I am reading in preparation to portray Veronica Franco at KCRF this year.
Courtesans of the Italian Renaissance by Georgiana Masson
The Honest Courtesan by Margaret F. Rosenthal
Lives of the Courtesans: Portraits of the Renaissance by Lynne Lawner
and
Terze rime by Veronica Franco. Well, technically only as much of it as I can find translated on the web. The only copy that my library has was printed in 1913 and is actually in Italian - which I don't read.
*Sigh* Why couldn't she have been a famous French courtesan?
