Feeling Crummy
Sep. 14th, 2005 01:49 pmMinus column - Yes, I've also got that flu thing that seems to be running like a plague through the faire and the campus. Yuck.
My right achilles tendon is still swollen and painful. I did something to it the first weekend of faire, and it hasn't come back yet. It feels better when I wake up in the morning, so I'm sure that all it needs is more bed-rest, but I haven't got a week to take off from work to sit around with my feet up. Owww.
In a sort of plus and minus, I got to experience the trials and tribulations of working for a university yesterday when I found out that my current employers had recommended me for a merit raise. Which is great, except that I haven't been with the library a full six months yet, so when the HR department looked at my last job review, it was from the School of Education. And since the SoE fired me, you can guess that it wasn't the best review I have ever had. So no merit raise for me. :( Blech.
Plus column - It's a really nice day outside.
I have new bookshelves, so I can finally get a bunch of books out of the garage. Yay for books!
