I just finished reading this book, and I wanted to thank the weather for creating an atmosphere so sympathetic to the nature of the work for the past couple of weeks. (Yes, it took me that long to read it, it's a BIG book.) If George Eliot, Jane Austen and George MacDonald had ever collaborated on a book about English magicicians, it probably would have been quite similar to this one. Autumn seems to be the perfect season to have read it. Mmmm, Autumn. What could be better than mist, rain, overcast skies and fallen leaves blowing in spirals down the street? Or maybe I'm just weird that way... Nah.
Looking forward to: Seeing the original "Gojira" at Liberty Hall, and starting to read China Mieville's "Iron Council".
