New School Year, New Schedule
The teenager is taking that atrocious thing called a zero hour at school this year, which means that she has to be there by 7:00 AM, which means that we have to get up between 5:30 and 6:00 AM depending on how much we need to do before leaving the house. Boo.
Bonus, if I go directly from dropping her off to work, parking is much easier, and I get into the office before 7:30. I did it this morning easily, including a quick stop at the grocery store. With the extra time gained by early arrival, I will now be able to leave work 2.5 hours early one afternoon a week, my choice of which day. Yay!
Side bonus: Much to my amusement, early morning drive time is apparently all about appealing to my 'age group'. As the teenager flipped through all her favorite radio stations on the drive to school, we heard Duran Duran, The Cure, Men at Work and Guns'n'Roses and barely anything that she wanted to listen to. Ha!
