What's in a name

As it happens, this past weekend I decided to exorcise my irritation with the fact that "Laura"s die in popular story and song by asking [livejournal.com profile] gmskarka to compile a CD for me with every Laura-song we can come up with, just for fun. Putting them all in one place should be quite funny, I hope. So I thought I'd ask for a bit of help, to make sure that we don't miss any.

Here are a few of the songs (and the death involved) I came up with:

Lara's Theme from Dr. Zhivago (Throws herself under a train, I think)
Laura Palmer's theme from Twin Peaks (Murdered by Bob)
The theme from the movie "Laura" (Gene Tierney, yum - okay, not actually dead, but everyone thinks she is)
Tell Laura I Love Her (Dying boyfriend pledging his love)
Whatever that soft-serve rock song is with the chorus "When you think of Laura, laugh don't cry, I know she'd want it that way"
Laura by the Scissor Sisters (no actual death involved, but I love the Scissor Sisters, and they used my name)

If you can add to this list, please do - and death is not a requirement for it to make the album, just the name.

Thanks!
